The Wedding Of
Clayton & Zoë
Join us on Orcas Island, Washington on July 11, 2026 as we gather amidst the wild beauty to celebrate a love written by the sea and sealed beneath the evergreens.
Together, we’ll share a day of joy, laughter, and the quiet magic of forever.

The Celebration
Nestled among the evergreens and meadows of Orcas Island, our wedding will take place at Victorian Valley Chapel, a place that captures the heart of the island’s beauty and the timeless feeling we hope our day will hold.
The ceremony will be held inside the chapel as we exchange our vows before family and friends.
Afterward, we’ll gather outside on the lawn for a cocktail hour and reception beneath the open sky with dinner, dancing, and laughter as the sun sets behind the hills.
The evening will carry a sense of calm, romance, and celebration under the stars.
We can’t wait to share this moment with you, a day filled with love, meaning, and the beauty of the island that drew us here.
Dress Code & Evening Notes
We kindly ask that guests wear formal attire, long dresses for women and button-up shirts with slacks for men.
While there’s no set color palette, we ask that you avoid bright red, neon hues, vivid oranges, and white (for women), to keep the evening soft and elegant.
As the island evenings can grow cool, we recommend bringing a wrap, shawl, or jacket to stay cozy as the night unfolds.

Things to do on the island
Brought to you by Abby our Travel agent!
Orcas Island, Washington is the largest of over 170 islands that make up the San Juan Island archipelago in the Salish Sea, bordering Canada. Spanning 58 square miles, and shaped like a horseshoe, Orcas boasts stunning coastlines, mountains, forests, valleys and lakes. It’s hard to put into words just how spectacular the island’s natural beauty is. The main town of Eastsound, with its array of locally owned shops and eateries (no chain stores here!), only adds to the allure with its undeniable charm. When you set foot here, it’s easy to feel you’ve gone back in time to an era where life moves much more slowly, albeit with award-winning, gourmet food.

Activities on the island
Rent Kayaks
Rent kayaks and explore the pristine waters around the island. Keep an eye out for Bald Eagles, Great Blue Herons, seals, dolphins, Orca whales, and many other species of birds and marine life.
Moran State Park
Over 5,000 acres of terrain including lakes, mountains, and campgrounds. Rent kayaks or paddle boards on Cascade or Mountain Lake, or just spend a leisurely day lakeside. Bike, hike or drive to the top of Mount Constitution for amazing views.
Hiking
Orcas is home to some of the most beautiful hikes I’ve ever done. Easy 2.6 mile flat hike around Cascade Lake for those who like a chill pace. There’s a spot for cliff jumping if you’re feeling adventurous. For something slightly more taxing (3.7 miles) but still good for families with children, the Mountain Lake Loop provides a beautiful and more tranquil experience. Finish the hike with a dip in the lake, which can be surprisingly warm in the Summer months. If you’re looking for a challenge, hike to the top of Mount Constitution, the highest point in the San Juan Islands. Sitting at an elevation of 2,400’, you’ll have a 360 degree view of the San Juan Islands, snow-capped Mount Baker, and the North Cascades on a clear day. You can also drive your car to the top if you aren’t in the mood for a grueling hike. Another favorite of mine that is outside of Moran State Park, is Turtleback Mountain. This is a short, but steep, up and down loop that offers some of my favorite views of Deer Harbor, San Juan Island and Canada.
Shopping in Eastsound
Eastsound is the heart of Orcas Island, filled with locally owned boutiques, art galleries, and cozy shops that perfectly capture the island’s charm. Wander through streets lined with handmade jewelry, organic skincare, books, and unique keepsakes you won’t find anywhere else. Whether you’re looking for a thoughtful gift, island-made goods, or just a relaxing afternoon of browsing, Eastsound offers a little something special for everyone.
Farm hopping
All across Orcas Island, you’ll find small family farms and markets bursting with fresh, local goodness. From seasonal produce and wildflower bouquets to handmade cheeses and honey, the island’s farms reflect its deep connection to the land. We recommend simply driving around and stopping at the ones that catch your eye, each has its own charm and story to share. One of Zoë’s favorites is Warm Valley Farm and Lum farm, peaceful spots surrounded by rolling fields and sunshine, where you can truly feel the heart of the island.
Whether you're seeking outdoor adventures, culinary delights, or peaceful relaxation, Orcas Island offers something for everyone. Immerse yourself in the beauty and charm of this Pacific Northwest gem and create memories that will last a lifetime.
